2025 | Create a Croot/Coach Thread

Hi everyone,

 

Here is the official thread for Create-A-Croot/Coach submissions. You may create either or both.

Read below for the rules on creating a croot or a coach:

 

 

1.  Write an article about a player on your team and what they're doing this off-season.

   Heck, here are some ideas for you:

2. How they're preparing for the Spring Games
3. How they're celebrating Crootsmas
4. How they're saving Crootsmas from that one man named Slippery Jim
5. A slice-of-life story on how they're handling finals week at their university
6. How they're eye-ing for a starting position or competing with other players.

7. It can be any genre, just make it as appropriate as it needs to be.

   Write an article, make it good, and you'll be allowed to create either a croot for the next season or an AI Coach. All that I ask is that you post it here:

   For croots, you will be able to select any position and archetype including the new ATH archetypes. For Coaches, you will be able to input a name, age, their alma-mater, where they're currently coaching, their preferred offensive and defensive schemes, and coaching tendencies.

9. Star and Prestige of the Croot/Coach will be done at random

In the event someone creates a coach that is user owned, that is the coach that will take over in the event the user steps down. Either way, if the coach is created for an already existing AI team, they will replace the AI coach that's currently coaching there.

 

Additionally for this year only, in celebration of our 5th season, I've decided to present another opportunity to coaches to create one more recruit.

In the current list of recruits, I've selected one player. On their recruiting card on the Recruiting Overview page I've placed what we can call a "marker". Think of it as saying "You've found me!" in all caps. Every other recruiting card will look normal.

 

I will be giving no hints as far as which recruit this is, so please do not ask.

 

The first person to find this recruit, take a screenshot and send it to me will be able to create a five star recruit in addition to their submission above. They will also be able to select a second affinity of their choosing.
