TuscanSota rejects Head Coach job for Ohio State, intends to stay at Washington State

After rumors circulated last week regarding a high prominent program offering coach TuscanSota a head coaching position. The program was revealed to be the Ohio State Buckeyes, who are expecting to fire their AI program after missing the playoffs this season and causing kids in the Columbus area to experience a loss to Michigan for the first time ever in sim history.

The Washington State head coach addressed the matters this morning regarding the rumors:

 

"Yeah, Ohio State offered the job to me. Let me say this: I like what we got going here. Pullman's a small town, and everyone here is passionate for this school and the program. Go all over Eastern Washington and you'll see nothing but crimson and grey. Our players are dedicated and are involved in outreach throughout the Palouse. We just won the Pac 12 conference and are successfully pulling off a rebuild for the Cougs. We also intend to make a playoff run next season. Why jump away for a team who's focused more on brand and image than a team who's grounded and trending up?"

 

Washington State finishes 9-3 on the season with a conference championship and their first Apple Cup win in Sim history. Despite these things, it unfortunately won't be enough to sway the Selection Committee on inviting them to the playoffs. Coach TuscanSota will be preparing the Cougs for what appears to be a very prominent matchup in the bowl season.
