Hi everyone,

 

I would like to introduce one of the final features we're implementing onto Interface 1.0, the inbox system.

The inbox system is design to give players a notification on important changes related to their team while using the interface. This includes keeping the user informed of information that was less likely noticeable due to the news log system. It is also intended to provide teams with information that we may not want to publicly display to other teams.

Users will receive messages on the following:

• Missing a week of recruiting
• Having a player on your practice squad receive an offer from another team
• Having an invalid depth chart or gameplan by the time games are ran.

 

Where can the inbox be viewed?

The inbox is viewable from the navbar at the top of the interface:

 

When the user has received a notification, the envelope will be red.

To view the inbox, simply click on the envelope and the inbox modal will appear.

Users will be able to view their notifications within each league and will be able to toggle their view as needed.

 

To mark a notification as read, click on the notification button that is next to the remove button.

To remove a notification, simply click on the remove button.

 

Can you send messages to other teams?

It is not a feature that we're planning towards as we're hoping to finish Interface 1.0.

 

Will notifications be instantly viewable?

Due to the way the interface is currently built, notifications will be provided when the interface handles logic that is related to recruiting, free agency, and game preparation. We would like to be able to provide notifications instantly to users without the need of refreshing the interface; but in it's current state, this is the best we can provide.

If you do see your inbox light up, it will contain important information that should be read.

 

What is the full release of the inbox?

The inbox is currently in its beta stage. We're going to look into adjusting the size of the inbox, providing more notifications when necessary, and completing the removal function. For now, this update will give users the opportunity to access this feature and see information that will be relevant to their teams especially with the end of the season approaching.
