MORGANTOWN, WV - West Virginia Mountaineers fans can rejoice as star offensive lineman Gabriel Goosewich is set to return from an eight-week injury, according to head coach Smackemz. Goosewich, a junior out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, suffered a strained rotator cuff against Baylor and has been sidelined since.

Goosewich is considered a key piece of the Mountaineer offensive line, known for his strength and pass-blocking prowess. His return will be a significant boost to an offensive unit that struggled to protect the quarterback and establish a consistent running game in his absence.

"Gabe's a difference-maker for us," Coach Smackemz said at a press conference today. "His presence on the field will solidify our offensive line and create much-needed running lanes for our backs. We're thrilled to have him back healthy and ready to contribute."

Goosewich is expected to reclaim his starting spot at right guard, shoring up the interior for sophomore quarterback Dzanan Reid. With Goosewich back in the fold, the Mountaineers' offense is expected to be more efficient and explosive in the upcoming weeks.

The 8-2 West Virginia Mountaineers will head to Cincinnati week 13 to face the Bearcats in their final Big-XII conference game this season.
