After some players' overalls have been revealed I feel like we have a better idea of how good players are and because of that I want to do one last ranking of the players selected in the 2023 draft class. Just so we are all on the same page, I went through the league and compared the rookies who have had their overalls revealed since the season started to the letter grade they had going into the season and made assumptions about overalls based on that. If a rookies overall hasn't been revealed I made an assumption about their overall based on the overalls of the players who have been revealed.

A+: 64+
A: 62-63
A-: 60-61
B+: 58-59
B: 56-57
B-: 54-55
C+: 52-53
C: 50-51
C-: 48-49
D+: 46-47
D: 44-45
D-: 42-43
F+: 40-41
F: 38-39
F-: <37

Based on what I have seen this is how I see each letter grade. I think for the most part the top half of the list is correct. The potential problem with this ranking is the players who got revealed are the guys who are starting so we have a good idea of C and higher overall players because those are guys that some teams have been starting. Now I haven’t gone through every player yet but chances are the D’s and F’s aren’t playing enough to be revealed. So while I assumed the bottom half of the list follows the same pattern that the top half of the list followed, that could be wrong. I don’t think it would be any different but just wanted to bring that up to be transparent.

Only one QB had their rating revealed and that was Hiram Maronde but we did see a pretty significant change in the rankings with the last QB drafted Brandon Alexander jumping from the 4th ranked QB to the 2nd ranked QB. The differences in letter grades is less than I originally thought Brandon Alexander who has A+ potential is at worst a 52 and I with his A+ potential he will be able to close the gap in overalls and solidify himself as the 2nd best QB in this draft class when all is said and done. Fellow 7th round pick Frank Robinson of the Seahawks also moved up a spot for the same reason I think the difference in overall between him and Xavier Means is small enough that his better potential makes him a better player.

Phillip Bell moves up from 7 to 6 because like I said before I was higher on potential when I got to this part of my original rankings than I am now. I also want to say I have Chris Holmes and Javy Axelrod staying at 8 and 9 because while I am lower on the effects of potential as I used to be, being that low still scares me for the same reason Logan Lopez stays at 4. I think a C is not a terrible thing and while you would like it being higher it’s not something to be worried about. With that said it being low like a D+ and even getting to an F I don’t know how big the difference will be. At the end of the day this is my opinion so it’s whatever. See you all in a couple seasons when Logan Lopez, Chris Holmes, and Javy Axelrod are the 3 best DTs in the league. Carl Melton moves from 13 to 11 because a B- is better than I expected and Chris Crawford moves from 12 to 10 because I am lower on potential.

It was a lot of fun to dive back into the draft and while I was hoping things would change a bit more I guess I am just too good at what I do. I can't wait for the season to end so I can do some kind one last piece of media on this draft class at least for a bit whatever it is. I also can't wait to start getting ready for next years draft but I do appreciate the break from doing draft media.
