2024 | SimFBA Classic Nomination

The SimFBA Classic is a new series meant to showcase some of the best teams over the legacy of the SimBBA simulation. There currently is no annual selection of teams yet, so for the first four seasons I am going to open it up to every team.

Just to note, this classic is slated to be played in the 2A timeslot.

 

 

To nominate a team, please use the following template:

Team: (Name of Team)

Conference: (Name of Conference team is in)

Why: (The reason you're nominating your team. Show off to your fellow users what your team was able to accomplish during your team's history in the sim. If you won a national championship, mention it. If you won your conference X number of times, mention it).

 

Once a list of nominations have been made, a poll form will be created so we can vote on the first four teams to participate in The SimFBA Classic.

I would like to nominate the following teams:

Team: Saint Mary's

Conference: WCC

Why: Saint Mary's won the first ever national championship in SimCBB History.

 

Team: Purdue

Conference: B1G

Why: Purdue won the 2nd SimCBB National Championship and was the runner-up in the 3rd SimCBB National Championship. They have a proven track record in sim legacy, are competitive, and will likely continue to build onto this legacy.

 

Team: Baylor

Conference: Big 12

Why: Baylor won the 3rd SimCBB National Championship and won the 2022 Big 12 Championship. Baylor has been competitive as a team and was slated to win the Big 12 Championship this year before losing to the eventual Big 12 champion, BYU.

Team: Nebraska

Conference: B1G

Why: Self-interest, but Nebraska has finished top 2 in the B1G both years in the sim and features 2 top tier scoring talent freshman in Sleepy Carlson and Kevin Bailey along with a finalist of the Player of the Year award last year in Mitchell Henderson.
 

Team: Jacksonville

Conference: ASUN

Why: Dominated the ASUN and is bringing in a top recruiting class and returning SG James Levin who's a contender for player of the year this year.
