NBA Infractions and Corresponding Punishments

NBA Owners and GM's -

In an effort to curb some of the 'gaming' in the sim, as well as an effort to make things more fair for everyone, we are formally announcing some roster rules. All of them have been published in some shape or form but we wanted to pull them all together here. We also have punishments for each of them down below provided the rules are broken. We will be much more communicative with deadlines and the such to make sure that we give you clear timetables of when things are going to be due. Please reach out with any questions.

Infractions

Playing a player more minutes than allowed

Using more players than the max roster count

Using more than the allowed shot proportion on a player

Using more than the allowed shot proportion allowed in a given scheme

Giving a two-way player minutes after he has played for 40 games

Placing a player on a team's G-League after picking them up from another team's G-League (must be on active roster)

Over the cap after the season starts

Not matching salaries in trade (must be within 25% of value)

 

Penalties for Infractions

1st infraction: 5 mil cap hit
2nd infraction: 5 mil cap hit
3rd infraction: 7.5 mil cap hit + loss of 2nd round pick
4th infraction: Death Penalty
