[2023] Storm Watch - Tulsa Stifles Chattanooga to Kickoff the 2023 Campaign

Tulsa walked away with the first tally mark in the win column after today's 34-7 victory over the Chattanooga Mocs this afternoon.  Sophomore standout Wide Receiver Tony Sherman had himself a day with a 11 catch, 128 yard, 3 Touchdown performance to kick off his 2nd season with the Golden Hurricane.  On the defensive side, Tulsa was suffocating pitching a 125 yard outing and only allowed 7 points on the day.  The Chattanooga passing attack was held to under 50 yards on a sub 30% accuracy rate as the Mocs QBs had trouble moving the ball at all.  

We caught up with Head Coach acewulf after the game who had this to say: "Always good to come away with the win.  Lots of room to improve from today's performance.  Defense was a huge positive and we have some things to improve on offense.  Looking forward as we move to the next game!"

Next up, the Golden Hurricane travel to Athens, Ohio to take on the Ohio Bobcats.
