The Utah Utes are proud to announce the following players as members of their 2023 Recruiting Class. #GoUtes

#44 Overall 4* OG Francisco Santiago - The big offensive lineman committed to the Utes early and stayed consistent. A Bay Area product, he projects as an interior offensive linemen and will compete for a position this spring as an early enrollee.

#92 Overall 4* WR David Liebl - A high profile recruit from Los Angeles, Liebl is a stout receiver that can make a big impact over the coming years for the Utes. A polished player, Liebl projects as a slot receiver in this system with potential as an outside guy.

#127 Overall 4* CB Patrick Gormley - The Alpha of the group. Gormley hails from just outside Boise, Idaho and projects to be in the mix for a starting job in the Utes secondary. A likable figure online, Gormley is already a fan favorite.

#187 Overall 4* QB Jeffrey Wolfe - A Miami product, Wolfe is a solid passer with athletic upside. As the Utes look for their 3rd starting quarterback in as many years, Wolfe is walking into a very competitive room full of guys trying to prove what they have.

#206 Overall 4* DT Randolph Hancox - A big time defensive lineman from tiny Brainerd, MN, Hancox is a 6'-2", 298 lbs beast. Hancox spurned Big 10 country for Utah, and the coaching staff is very excited to see what Hancox can provide in the coming years.

#373 Overall 3* WR Allan Tjapkes - A Syracuse, NY product, Tjapkes is 6'-1", 197 lbs, and projects to be an outside receiver in this scheme. What pops on film is his jumping ability and great hands.

#387 Overall 3* CB David Turek - From the Tampa Bay area, Turek is a solid man-coverage corner that projects on the outside. His 6'-0", 187 lbs frame allows him to compete with even some of the lengthier wide receivers, and he has the speed to handle the small guys as well.

#406 Overall 3* OT Paul Briggs - Briggs is right, a 6'-3", 290 lbs mauler from the Inland Empire. Coaching staff is extremely excited about the athleticism Briggs brings and look for him to compete for a role in the coming future at either tackle spot.

#487 Overall 3* FS Patrick Crump - A Reno, NV defensive back, Crump looks to be a safety in the Utes's scheme, with potential at Nickel as well. A hard hitting young man that was the captain of his high school football team, Crump will make an instant impact at special teams.

#537 Overall 3* C Paul Allen - An offensive lineman that grew up just 1 hour away from Texas A&M, the Utah coaching staff was ecstatic to have Allen join this group. A quiet giant, Allen will be in the mix for the starting center role.

#555 Overall 3* FB Michael Shaheed - Shaheed comes from the Monterey Bay area and is a physical addition to this running backs room. The coaching staff knew it had speed, but needed power, and Shaheed's addition brings the boom to the Ute's rushing attack.

#574 Overall 3* SS Willie Pryor - Pryor is yet another Nevada defensive back in this class. At 6'-0", 204 lbs, he projects at safety all the way and will be used in special teams as yet another athlete increasing team speed.

#607 Overall 3* DE John Hughes - A local defensive lineman, Hughes wanted to stay home and the Utah staff obliged. The son of a car mechanical and an elementary school teacher, Hughes has a blue-collar mentality and an unquenching desire to win.

#662 Overall 3* K Ethan Howard - With the departure of their starting kicker to eligibility, Howard is a Jacksonville, FL kicker that could be in the mix for a starting role.

#676 Overall 3* OLB Miguel Quiroga - a Bay Area linebacker, Quiroga has great speed for his 6'-1", 231 lbs frame. A 2 way player in high school, the Utes are excited to get him on campus and in the weight room program.

#678 Overall 3* ILB James Raymond - One of the most desired defensive prospects in this Utes's class, Raymond is a Denver area native who picked the Utes over Colorado and Arizona State. The staff looks for Raymond to be one of the eventual leaders of this defense, but he already looks the part standing at 6'-3", 248 lbs.

#694 Overall 3* P Isaac Rutherford - Star punter Dwight Sanit is moving on from his college career, and the Cincinnati product Rutherford looks to replace him. A booming punter, he will enroll early and be used as a holder on field goals as well.

#783 Overall 3* DE Jeffery Badalyan - A Utah product that grew up 2 hours from campus, Badalyan put pen to paper to make his childhood dreams come true. A 6'-6", 246 lbs edge rusher, this staff believes Badalyan can be one of the top pass rushers in the coming years.

#820 Overall 3* OG Robert Alas - From the Central Coast, Robert Alas is the third Californian offensive lineman on this list. A 6'-1", 288 lbs punisher, Alas projects to be an interior lineman.

#872 Overall 3* CB Matthew Ritsema - A last second addition to this class, Ritsema from Tulsa, OK chose Utah over Baylor and is yet another body to join this team's secondary. Ritsema projects as an outside corner in this system, and will also be involved in special teams.

#890 Overall 3* DT Joshua Shaw - A defensive lineman from Jacksonville, FL, Shaw chose Utah over local SEC powerhouses Alabama and Florida. A very smart kid, Shaw is using this opportunity to get away from the beach he's known all his life to spend some times in the close by Rocky Mountains.

#892 Overall 3* OT Travis Snipes - Another California offensive lineman, Snipes hails from Los Angeles and is a developmental prospect. Great length at 6'-4", he has to put weight on past his existing 275 lbs before he's able to nail down a spot at either left or right tackle.

#937 Overall 3* TE Ronald Hurst - The lone tight end and Louisianan in this class, Hurst has Utah ties and a 6'-3", 240 lbs frame. An excellent pass catcher, Hurst will be a guy to watch for in the coming years.

#992 Overall 3* RB David Jensen - Not many recruits excited the coaching staff as much as David Jensen in this class. A power runner from Las Vegas, Jensen is a prototypical bruiser that signed with Utah early and stayed committed all the way to the end.

#1010 Overall 3* OLB Edward Sampson - A Salt Lake City product, Sampson is a massive linebacker, standing at 6'-2" and weighing 255 lbs. Look for him to fight his way into the rotation as an off-ball linebacker in the coming years.

Congratulations to all these young men! #GoUtes
