"Day 1 is in the books, here comes Day 2," says Coach Jim Jebow. "Day 1 we put their arms through the paces, and saw guys like Dick Richards show why he’s such highly touted prospect. Lots of challenges left, let’s see who rises to the top! Today, we're going to put these guys athletic abilities to the test, before taking them into 1 on 1 film room sessions with our coaches to prep for tomorrow's 7-on-7 drills."

Event #3 - The Combine

 

 

"Can't ever have a camp without making these kids run the 40 can we," Jebow laughs. "At this point, all the really good quarterbacks have to be able to extend plays and be a factor in their team's run game. It's just hard to be successful without it. We're big believers of the SPARQ score, Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. All major aspects of just how athletic a player is. These kids ran the 40, did a 20 yard shuttle, power ball throw, vertical jump."

 

"Most athletic guy in the class, easily Stephen London. He's just freaky, so fast, so agile. A top athlete out of elite athletes. Max Benson, Jim Kantor, and Cesar Chacon were all right behind him. Poor Colt McIntyre, he’s more athletic than what he showed today, but he’s going to have to hit the college weight room hard.

Event #4 - Film Room

 

 

"In preparation for the scrimmage, we gathered our QBs together to have 1-on-1 sessions about any questions they had on the playbooks they were given on Day 1. After running through various plays, and talking about what they liked and didn't like, we tested all these kids on their knowledge of the calls. This is crucially important at the collegiate levels. You have to know the playbook, you have to know the calls, you have to know how to set protections and run audibles."

 

“Coaches, consistently, were blown away by two kids. Edward Laakso and Stephen Oldakowski. My word, two prodigies of the game. Brilliant. David Scott close behind. Unfortunately we also saw the ugly, but some guys just hadn’t trained in schemes. Just good for collegiate coaches to know what guys can process Day 1.”
