Irving TX-- At the headquarters of the AAC, the commissioner has just announced a new agreement between Army and the American conference. Army which has been an independent for almost it's entire existence, will now have closer ties to a conference. A new media deal will help the Black Knights gain publicity throughout the country which should help along the recruiting trail. Army will now be included in all AAC shows which will be aired exclusively on AAC network, since Army is a cornerstone of College Football this should definitely increase revenue and overall TV ratings. While Army plays their rival Navy (a member of the AAC) annually, they have now agreed to play 4 other opponents from conference annually for the next few seasons. The Army athletic director has been very aggressive the past few weeks, with the potential signing of Jimbo Hopkins and a new Media and Schedule Package with the AAC. Analysts believe that Army is attempting to solidify itself as a contender in an ever changing college football landscape.
