Nashville, TN

The Elite 11 team has returned home, and after some much needed rest and relaxation, the team has made the final selections to invite to the finals. Much deliberation was done between the Elite 11 council but they landed on the last 8 quarterbacks to round out the field of 20.

From the Pacific Invitational:

#346 (3*) Felipe Velazco - The team really liked Velazco. Good footwork leads to good accuracy. What’s the ceiling? Gotta find out.

From the Southwest Invitational:

#96 (4*) Fred Oldakowski - Really really sharp kid. Thought he was a little lacking during the drills, but reviewing the tape we agreed he did enough to warrant a trip to Nashville.

From the Southeast Invitational:

#30 (4*) Nathan Hartigan - This guy is a stud. Looking back he should have made it right away, but the team was too enamored with Laakso and McIntyre during the event. Hartigan will push to be the best guy from the film room picks.

#133 (4*) Christopher Cannon - Name is very fitting. Kid has a rocket for an arm. Really need to push him, if he can develop this arm talent, he’s a future NFL guy.

#394 (3*) Samuel Ortiz - Extremely natural on tape. Unbelievable fluidity when he’s in the pocket. Needs to work on mechanics, but let’s see how much he improves.

From the Mid-Atlantic Invitational:

#92 (4*) Stephen London - Talk about athletic. This guy we just had to see again. So toolsy, just need to see if he’s able to put it together.

#140 (4*) Robert Khan - Man what a player. Just so well rounded, he’s good at everything. Can’t wait to see him compete.

From the Midwest Invitational:

#353 (3*) Robert Lemberger - Another freak athlete. Tall, strong, but doesn’t yet know how to use his physical gifts to the fullest.

“An excellent group of players,” said Jebow. “Now obviously, we got our favorites in the bunch, but really it’s an event that anyone can win. Lots of the council are backing Dick Richards, the BYU commit was off the charts at the Pacific invitational. We also have some big fans of David Scott and Edward Laakso, and they’re widely picked as the guys that will be at the top of the table. For the dark horses, Cesar Chacon is a popular upset pick, as is Kyung Hui. Who will win the Elite 11? We’ll find out soon enough!”

Finals Invitees:

#6 (5*) David Scott - Mid-Atlantic MVP - LSU Commit

#7 (5*) Edward Laakso - Southeast MVP - Purdue Commit

#2606 (5*) Dick Richards - Pacific MVP - BYU Commit
