2022 Wildcats in Waco

The #6 Kansas State Wildcats go on the road this weekend to face the #11 Baylor Bears!

 

Kansas State enters Waco with the #2 Total Offense in the Big 12. Brandon Smith, the starting QB for the Wildcats has been tremendous for the team and one of the reasons the Wildcats are tenacious on the road. On the defense, Kansas State is ferocious on getting past the line of scrimmage, currently the #1 team in the Big 12 for Tackles For Loss, and #2 in Sacks. Their #3 Rush Defense in the Big 12 will be put to the test when they go to Waco.

 

The Bears, however, are also the #3 Total Offense and #3 Total Defense in the Big 12. What they've lacked in the passing game so far this season, they make up with for an excellent run-game. Baylor QB and RB duo Travis Knebel and Dietrich Smith are currently #3 and #4 in the Big 12 for Rushing yards with Knebel being the #3 in the conference for rushing touchdowns. Baylor has been excellent at stopping passers at home. The one down-side for the Bears: They're not that exemplary when it comes to defensive playmaking. The Bears are tied for #4 in Sacks, #8 in interceptions, and #7 in Tackles For Loss.
