WMU Head Coach set to become GM of Las Vegas Raiders - Sources

Western Michigan head coach @Jieret is set to become the new GM of the Las Vegas Raiders, per sources. The Broncos are 9-1 and sit near the top of the college footballing world right now. After the Broncos suffered a rare loss at the hands of another potential playoff contender Bowling Green in what was dubbed "the MAC Championship Game Part 1," rumors have intensified that Coach Jieret may make the jump to the NFL.

 

Sources say he would maintain both positions at the same time. It is expected that he would coach from the sidelines for Thursday Night WMU games while remotely working any Raiders Thursday Night Football matchups. The League is not expected to make any allowances in scheduling to accommodate this situation.

 

Recently, there have also been new talks between the Detroit Lions organization and the WMU coach about taking up the open GM position in Detroit, but Las Vegas has been the top choice for the last few weeks.
