This is the face of a coach and fans wondering why the individual in question has not been fired yet. Coach SyndaKyt thought it was a bright idea for his FB Arroyo to try his hand at rushing the ball against USF. All that needs to be said is he is currently on injured reserve and people are wondering if he pissed in his cereal to attempt to kill this young Mid. The season has been very rough and discouraging but the single silk thread keeping the AD from getting a steel toe boot and swiftly kicking Coach SyndaKyt in the ass out of the door is the fact that he somehow manages to keep landing more blue chip recruits! Unfortunately, they missed out on Steven Gooley, an RB out of VA who VT pursued heavily. Let's meet the new guys.

#11 FS Bernard Wilson, Frisco HS

Bernard Wilson is just considered to be out of the top 10 for Free Safeties in this class but Navy felt otherwise. The Frisco native expressed a desire to stay close to his home. This was evident as the Lobos attempted to pursue him, but quickly pulled off. What captivated coaches and staff was his desire for also wanting to attend a service academy. The kid is bursting full of energy and was very impatient as he played both sides of the ball as a WR and a FS. He could not wait to sign the dotted line and book it to Annapolis. In a safety room that has gone through a lot of disarray, Wilson will hope to solidify the room for years to come. He fits their scheme in Zone Coverage Safeties and controlling the deep middle. He also wanted to play for a specific coach, especially a coach that is very defensive minded. This seems to be the case because Coach SyndaKyt could not score a TD if he tried to. He could become a Day 1 Starter, especially with his high floor. SS Souza and FS Wilson could potentially make up the best safety tandem in college football a few years down the line.

#12 DE Michael Harris, Saint Thomas More School

Navy managed to snag the best recruit out of CT, but is that really saying much? Who cares because he is a 4 star DE in a front four group that is the weakest on the defensive side. We all know how important the trenches are for success on both sides of the ball and Navy are hitting those needs early and often. Funnily enough, he gained most of his traction when his team was playing the invisible school that was Bishop Sycamore, a game in which he recorded 7 sacks. It could be a matter of blocking schemes or subpar talent but Navy only has 3 sacks through 5 games. This is looking to change with Harris coming to campus. He looks to be an all around threat in the run game and pass rushing and he has the stereotypical build for it at 6'5, 270. The man among boys is a workout warrior that often maxes on his reps and pushes to failure. That is the grit and attitude needed to fire up this locker room. He was also getting slight interest from Bowling Green, but the small campus of the Naval Academy captivated him. He is a bit fresh, but has good potential. He only just recently hit a growth spurt after being the size of a WR for most of his football career. They expect good things out of him as he looks to become a leader of a developing defensive line.

Although Navy isn't winning games, they sure are winning on the recruiting trail. They aren't done yet. Pay close attention to them closing in on other key positions and potentially making a splash as they enter battles to try and acquire more future Midshipmen. Sometimes you may be apart of the circus but we will see who's laughing at the end of this recruiting cycle.
