We have now reached the midpoint of the season, so here on Inside the Irish we will take some time to review players performances weekly. This week, we will be focusing on Izaah Plawecki the Notre Dame starting QB. Through 6 games, he has led the Irish to a respectable 4-2 record with some quality wins over talented rosters. He has thrown for 1876 yards with a 66.67% completion percentage. Along with those statistics he has also thrown for 14 passing touchdowns to a mere 5 interceptions. While these numbers may not jump off the page, he is leading the Independents as the best statistical passer. His ability to make smart decisions in the pocket has really helped this squad win ball games. While there might have been doubters at the beginning of the season, Plawecki has proved that he deserves the role as the starting quarterback. Things look good for Plawecki as the Irish have not pursued any QBs on the recruiting trail, so he looks to be the starter for years to come.
