Week 5 Score: West Virginia 17 Kansas 21

POTG: WVU RB Mario Allen - 25 carries for 189 yards, 3 catches 14 yards

What Happened: WVU dominated EVERY facet of the game and lost. The Mountaineers did have a perfect opportunity to drive down the field and win the game - Kansas punted giving Musa and the Mountaineers nearly 3 minutes to drive and score. However the Mountaineers would get down to the 9 and simply let the clock run out.... Fans sat in stunned silence at the ineptitude of Shelby Musa and coach smackemz.

 

Matchup: West Virginia at Texas

What to watch for (WVU): How will WVU lose this week? In the loss to KSU - WVU allowed a 70 yard TD pass as time expired. Against Kansas the Mountaineers were able to dominate, but yet couldn't come away with a win. WVU was slaughtered by Texas last season and we don't expect any different. One silver lining is that coach smackemz basically pulled the plug on the season and has switched schemes and quarterbacks.

 

What to watch for (Texas): Last year Texas won this game 38-0, can they extend that margin of victory this season? Texas should have no issue dispatching WVU this week, the only unknown is that since WVU is running a completely new QB and scheme we're unsure how to predict.

 

What will happen: Texas will win by a lot.
