Scouts Fix Misreported Data on Top Recruit

After a blowout game to where Johnson High School Beavers won 63-3, head coach Robert Writtenby was reportedly disappointed by the lack of college scouts at the highly touted game. What set off the coach, however, was something found to be mis-reported.

“We’ve offered to help subsidize the costs to have teams fly in scouts to Anchorage, to help give them a glimpse on why we think our star is good, and yet you mean to tell me teams aren’t scouting one of the best prospects to come from Alaska is because it was reported he was 69 inches tall? Five foot nine?” Coach Writtenby shouted at a press conference. He immediately called up his starting quarterback Dick Richards and had him stand right next to him.

“Listen, I don’t know which scout found it funny to report his height around as some sort of grotesque joke, but I’m standing at exactly six feet myself. Take this for what you will. This kid has a future ahead of him.”

It was reported that Dick Richards stood an inch taller than his head coach.

The Beavers will be on the road this upcoming weekend to face off against another Alaskan powerhouse, the Chugiak Mustangs
