This Saturday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish head to Annapolis, Maryland in their second annual rivalry matchup to the Navy Midshipmen. One of the longest rivalries in college football, these two teams clash once again for the Rip Miller Trophy.

After last season's close matchup 13-6, Notre Dame is determined to build further onto their winning streak. The Fighting Irish field one of the best receiver tandems in Senior WR Danny Maronde, Sophomore WR Josh Gaudin, and Sophomore Receiving TE Torrey Barbato. Fans, however, are excited for their new starting quarterback, sophomore Izaah Plawecki from Kentucky.

Many of Navy's football players, however, still remember their last match up. The Midshipmen have had this game circled on their calendar through the summer and are determined not to let the Fighting Irish get the best of them in their Memorial Stadium. Defensive Backs Tommy Montero and Fred Barrett are poised for a big matchup to Notre Dame's receivers, and freshman SS Roko Souza is ready to make a big statement in his first collegiate game of the year. The Midshipmen share many similarities to the Irish in terms of talent, but whether Navy will lean on its runningbacks, receivers, or their defense will remain to be seen.

Will the Fighting Irish emerge victorious in their first challenge of the year, a road game matchup to rival Navy? or will the Midshipmen have their revenge after last years defeat?

Who will win the Rip Miller Trophy?
