Week 1 Overtime Excitement

Cardiac Cats Make Presence Felt in AFC South Clash

 

Titans RB John Knighten Rushed for 210 yards and a touchdown

Jacksonville opened up their season, and the season for the NFL at home against their rival in the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans. The Jags were the favorites at home, but needed a last ditch effort from Quarterback Steven Connolly (28 of 42 for 374 yards, 3 TD 0 Int) for a 36 yard touchdown pass to Wide Receiver Richard Roshell (12 TGT, 9 CTH for 122 yards and 2 TDs). A clutch extra point from kicker Paul Tompkins ensured the Jags would survive and go to overtime. In overtime, Connolly came in clutch once again and lead the team down the field and found a way to win the game with a touchdown pass to Charles Brown.
