NFL Roster Moves Update

Hello Coaches,

 

There seems to have been a bit of confusion when it comes to roster moves and how things like the transaction ticker should be handled. The following will take effect immediately.

 

NFL Transaction Ticker:

 

This is the official state of the simulation in terms of transactions. Whatever is on the ticker is what will be used if a game was pulled that very moment. Thus, even if you have posted in any of the cut, signing, or trade threads, do NOT make changes to your depth chart UNTIL the ticker is updated.

 

The deadline for transactions to be submitted will be each Wednesday at noon ET. Any transactions posted by users after that date (cuts, trades, etc.) will likely NOT be posted before that upcoming week's game. Whatever the transaction ticker says at noon ET on Wednesday will be what is applied to the sim, so you know who you have to play and who cannot play.

 

Regular Season Roster Cutdowns:

 

Once the NFL Preseason is over, teams will be required to cut their roster size down to 55 players (current limit is 90), in addition to a practice squad of up to 14 players (more on that in the come week or so). The deadline for these cuts will be noon ET on July 6th.

 

Roster Penalties:

 

Any team that has an invalid roster (i.e. played a player that isn't on their roster, or does not conform to player limit counts, etc.) will be penalized in the following manner:

• For every infraction every week, there will be a $2 million penalty applied to the offending team's salary cap for the current year, and the following season.
  
• Once the infraction has been fixed, the penalty for the next season will be reduced by 50%. The current season's penalty will remain the same.
  
• Teams that were below the salary cap limit, but above it due to a roster infraction will be required to cut players to get back below the cap limit.
  
• Teams that do not address over-the-cap issues will be penalized draft picks at the admins' discretion.
  

TL;DR

• Make sure to check the NFL Transaction Ticker every Wednesday after noon ET to see what changes you need to make to your depth chart.
  
• Be sure to have your active roster down to 55 players by Wednesday, July 6th at noon ET. (Practice Squad info will be out by then).
  
• Anyone who does not conform to these rules will be spanked penalized cap space this year and next year.
  
• Fixes to invalid depth charts/rosters will reduce the penalty next year by 50%
  
• Teams that do not cut players to meet cap requirements will be penalized draft picks.
