Irvin is no stranger to the spotlight. A hometown talent from Cary, Illinois, Irvin has played varsity and made the state-playoffs every season since he was a freshman. One of the best run-stopping linebackers in the league, he has shut out running backs and prevented breakout plays in the backfield with each start. He has frustrated many senior players including Louis Fink of St. Rita high school and Kirk Ragland from Maple Park, Illinois.

We had the chance to speak with Irvin after a summer practice; eager for the spotlight, Castleberry had this to say about his say about his college aspirations:

"My favorite day of the week is when we play Friday Nights and my high school cheers out in all navy. There is never a dull crowd, and it is the loudest nights that the state of Illinois will ever hear. I make plays. I run my defense, and my defense wins games. Winners are what drive this game, and believe me, I drive a Porsche. My dad bought one for me after my state championship junior year. We drive, losers walk. There is nothing that describes me as a slow, sore loser -- and any coach who wants to speak to me should know that when I play for you, we're winning championships."
