Three-time starter for Dinwiddie High School, David Scott finally has scouts reaching out to him regarding his college career. Having been a cornerstone for the Generals football team, Scott remains at command for his senior season. Having thrown for over 4000 yards passing with 27 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, Scott has been a force in Virginia high school football.

Yet despite setting state records, David Scott is now finally turning a page and getting scout's attention. Not wanting to make any public statements, his father, Dennis, spoke to us regarding his son's college dreams.

"We were pretty frustrated last season when we tried to reach out to the Cavaliers program regarding David's upcoming recruitment; and yeah they were focused on another stellar quarterback in Maryland, but we really would have appreciated a call back from them. David's really focused though; all I want as a father is for him to be somewhere where he's wanted; even if that means going to school in Blacksburg."

We asked Mr. Scott to elaborate on his comment regarding the Virginia Tech Hokies, which he corrected by saying: "David grew up a Cavaliers fan; but he knows and I know in his heart that would play anywhere. Can be all the way at UCLA or over by Virginia Tech. He's really open minded on a lot."

Some misleading facts here! Of course, during the recruiting season we are focused on our incoming class. But when we returned a call after our class was complete, it was the Scotts who didn't pick up! Regardless, the only time David will be playing in Blacksburg is when UVA is @VT. ;)
