Comunicado Oficial - Philadelphia Eagles 2022 Draft Picks

Recommended Posts

The Philadelphia Eagles are pleased to announce the 8 picks they made in this year's draft.

"Overall we were very happy with our selections. We added speed, strength, size, and high character men to our roster. Please join us in this celebratory announcement and FLY EAGLES FLY"

Round 1 Pick 11 - With their first selection, the Eagles took OLB Mark Soto - UNLV

"Ecstatic with this selection, we were very happy with who we graded out as not just the best outside linebacker but the best edge player in this class. He'll form a dynamic duo with Emory Hightower and be a force on the pass rush for years to come."

Round 2 Pick 22 - With their second selection, the Eagles took SS Ryan Reininger - Oklahoma State

"We had Ryan graded as a first round pick and were shocked he slipped into our pick in the back end of round 2. Extremely happy to add this talented player to our secondary, him and Leonard Vaughn will be our presumed starting safety pair and solidify one of the best secondaries in the league."

Round 3 Pick 11 - With their third selection, the Eagles took OG David Thomas - Tulsa

"Big bodied mauler up front but intelligent as well. Can play either side of the interior offensive line, we're currently looking at him for the right guard position. A national champion, excited to add Big Dave to our roster."

Round 4 Pick 22 - With their fourth selection, the Eagles took DE Jake Moore - North Carolina

"Space eater. This guy crushes the run, big bodied at 290 but moves extremely well. He can play multiple gaps up front and that's versatility drew us to him. Our defensive room is excited to add Moore."

Round 5 Pick 11 - With their fifth selection, the Eagles took RB Lucas Mihalik - Michigan State

"Dynamic running back, speed speed and more speed. A home run threat everytime he touches the ball, and a great complement to the power Greg Lemay brings. Lucas is a high character player that will be an asset to this backfield."

Round 6 Pick 22 - With their sixth selection, the Eagles took WR Pedro Ekeler - Alabama

"He didn't play much, but we were in awe by what he did with the ball. Incredible home run threat, averaged 35 yards per reception. 17 receptions his senior year and turned 6 into touchdowns. We see him as a guy that can burn defenses and use his shiftyness and creativity to help us get 6 points everytime he touches the ball."

Round 7 Pick 11 - With their seventh selection, the Eagles took ILB Jake Miranda - Temple

"Another fast, big bodied guy. We see him as a WILL-backer in our 3-4 set up. He moves well, hits hard, and plays intelligently in coverage. Sky's the limit for Jake!"

Round 8 Pick 22 - With their eighth selection, the Eagles took CB Russell Grantham - Syracuse

"Incredible instincts in coverage, 2 acrobatic interceptions last season and moves well to boot. We see him as a guy that has ability as a nickel or an outside guy. We already have a strong secondary, so adding a guy like Russell to the mix only helps us sharpen iron in the defensive backfield"
