A 4 star C balanced DE is a good pickup on his own, but Weston Steelhammer is the best recruit in this class. B overall, B potential speed rusher from nearby Albuquerque. If I'm not wrong he was initially looking elsewhere, but the pokes won him over to bolster their front	A-
DT	A	Wow, their front is really good. At DT last year they signed a 5 star with B- potential who looks like an anchor for the next 3 years	Added another 4 star here to make their front-4 one of the most imposing in college football	B
FB	A+	This might be the best position room in all of college football. The last 3 cycles they signed a 4 star A- potential, a 5 star, and a 4 star B potential. You have to think they're going to be playing some of these guys at RB, and they'll probably light it up	Added an average 3 star, but he's not going to get many snaps	B-
FS	D	Coming back down to earth, they have 3 on roster, all are below average 2 stars	Great place to add both a solid 4 star and average 3 star	B-
ILB	C	Got an A potential 3 star who's a sophomore, but still only a C overall. Not much impressive last cycle	Signed another average 3 star C guy	C

QB	B-	Their current long term plan seems to be last years signee: pocket Dewayne who's a 4 star B overall. Not a bad future prospect	Added two more 3 stars with about average potential to serve as depth/backup options	C
RB	B-	They have a B overall 4 star sophomore currently leading the way, with some high potential 3 stars last year	Added an ok 3 star who will likely just be a depth piece	C

TE	B-	Their 5 star threat is going to be a senior this season, and they only have a pair of eh 3s to try and replace him with next year.	This was probably their 2nd best position grouping though, as Mike Andrews is a 4 star prospect with A potential, and they added a 3 star with B potential as well	B
WR	B-	Stables are full with above average potential 3s and a sophomore 4 star	Picked up another 4 star B overall to slide in and compete for playing time	B-

 

 

OK State definitely worked on some of their pipelines, as they signed just about every player from Texas or the greater southwest. They left 2 scholarships unused, and I was disappointed they didn't sign an OG that they really needed. I'd say overall, they had a reasonable recruiting class, but it didn't quite match up to their needs. It seemed like they were recruiting a "base" class that didn't really have many holes, but their roster didn't need to upgrade or solidify as it is pretty imbalanced in the first place with a few star-studded groups, a few duds, and a lot of slightly above average. I don't think very many of their 3 star C signees will see much time as they're almost all behind players slightly better than them. I would have preferred seeing a more targeted approach, but overall they do have talent and brought in talent so it's not too bad

An interesting strategy to target Wisconsin, but they found a lot of good players. The position distribution could have been a little better imo as they heavily focused on defense and GB/TE positions while ignoring the interior O line. I actually think their signees complement the roster pretty well, but not signing any at some key positions hurts a little. I think Kansas should be on the upswing in the future, although you have to wonder whether their recruiting involved lots of shotguns and uncommitable offers, or if they were processing kids near signing day
