Immediately after the Chiefs finished with a 5-12 record, they went to work to find a new Coach and General Manager. JW1952TX was hired to help get the rebuild started. He knows there is a lot of work to be done but is ready for the challenge. A few good pieces will be returning but also a couple of long time Chiefs won't have their contracts extended. It wasn't an easy decision as they are 11-year veteran's but with the decision to rebuild that was a starting point. Pro Bowl selections DE David Cunningham, OG Jayson Naylor and C Mark Transue will be returning to help lead the Chiefs. Also, OLB Ramon Hubanks, SS Will Redmon, CB Benedict Deluna and RB James Carter will play big roles in the upcoming season. Most other starting positions will be fiercely contested for in the preseason. The Chiefs do have 9 picks in the upcoming NFL draft with the first being at #9 so will be looking to bring in several young players.
