This set plus LSU, UGA, and Kentucky are the reason the SEC is going to dominate in a few years, mark my words

Below is a breakdown position-by-position of (from L-R) their current roster, what they did on the trail, and the grade I gave them in recruiting that position.

PositionCurrent position gradeCurrent statusRecruiting statusCrooting Grade
CB+Some good potential 3 stars including a B FreshmanNone taken, but didn't really need oneC
CBA-A really good pair of underclassmen 4 stars with B potentials have this room looking goodGrabbed a 5 star here! This could be a future no-fly zone secondaryA
DEB-A 4 star and a lot of average 3 stars, with B and C overallsSnagged 3 more average 3 stars which makes this room... continue to be average?C+
DTB+4 Star B overalls in each class is pretty goodAdded another 4 star in this class as wellB+
FBC+Has a B+ potential 3 star currentlyDidn't get anyC
FSC-Both underclassmen are 2 star C guysGrabbed a 4 star who could be the starter next yearB+
ILBCSome 3 star average potential guys, but sparseDidn't get any,D
KDa pair of bad 2 stars is not greatDidn't get anyD
OGBA pair of pretty good underclassmen here look to be good starters... but literally no depth. 3 players in the room next yearAdded 2 more, a B overall 4 star and a depth 3 star guy are great piecesB+
OLBB+Again, a really good pair of 4 star underclassmen herePicked up a trio of 3 stars with varying potentials. One of them has to pan out right?C+
OTC+A 4 star and lots of slightly above average 3s in this roomAdded another trio of pretty ok 3 stars to this room as well! Same stance, one of them must turn out well right?B-
PC-Meh, extremely mediocre right nowAdded an ok punter so they won't fall apart, but he's not the most exciting playerC+
QBDBrandon Ramirez was by far the best guy in that room. With him leaving there doesn't look to be anybody in the pipeline who can climb over a B by senior yearIdk if Jason Ellis will either, but he's better than both of the classes above himC
RBC+Sophomores are B potential at least, but 4 3 star C guys is definition of average in a positionGrabbing the 4 star here gives a little more star power, and he should be in the rotation relatively soonB
SSD-Need immediate help. Only guy on the roster is a D+ 2 star. Do not want him out on the field in the SECAnd now their other option is a B- 3 star true freshman who will probably start immediately. Hopefully he's a diamond in the rough rather than a developmental prospectB-
TEC+All 3 stars, but last years freshman has A+ potential which is a good lookGrabbing a B+ potential guy here means this could be a really solid room 2 years down the lineB-
WRB-A lot of B's in this room which is good! No star power, but lots of adequate playersGot a high end 4 star and an ok depth guy, overall a good contribution to this roomB-

I am a little surprised with how many C+ potential 3 stars they got. Those guys will stuff the rooms with depth, although missing out on ILB and K is disappointing, especially since they had 4 open scholarships at the end. They had some good rooms here, with CB and DT being positions of extreme strength, but this is a class we won't know how it pans out for 2-3 years while we wait to see if any of these guys are undervalued right now. Maybe the class was hurt by accusations that coach was halfway out the door on his way to Florida?

Below is a breakdown position-by-position of (from L-R) their current roster, what they did on the trail, and the grade I gave them in recruiting that position.

PositionCurrent position gradeCurrent statusRecruiting statusCrooting Grade
CC+A solid starter in sophomore Alex Layne (3 B B), but not much elseAdded an average 3 star, but he is going to be the second best center on the roster soC
CBC+A really good sophomore here looks like an anchor on one side, but nobody stands out on the other.Big props for landing a good 4 star in Landon, and even more for having all 3 signees as man guys to fit in with their current roster. The pair of local 3 stars are good depth, but nothing too specialB+
DEB-Exact same story as the CB room, although since only 2 DEs play at once having one really good one is 1/2 way to greatnessAdded another 4 star here which is good, plus the local 3 star as an additional bodyB
DTBTheir 5 star is now a rising senior, but they did pickup a solid 4 star in the last crooting class to keep this room stockedAnd added another in this class! Along with a pretty high upside 3-star to make this room packed with talentB
FBCThey have some ok fullbacks here, nothing too specialEven if their signee isn't a phenom, he's still the best guy on paper in the room so points for thatC+
FSC-The FS room is in a pretty sorry state at the moment without many good contributorsAdding in a 4 star brings this room from a liability to in pretty good shapeB
ILBC+They have almost 0 talent in here, except for last years 4 star signeeAnd this year they added another high 4 star making this room a position of strength with both starters being quite goodB+
KB-There have been some abysmal kicker rooms so far, but Missouri actually has an ok guy right now. The only issue is they only have 1And they picked up a high potential guy here too who should blossom into a future starter for themB-
OGC-Very sparse in both bodies and talent hereThey needed some upgrades here, and while Zoilo has pretty high potential, their other 3 star is very meh. It does boost the room, but only to becoming averageC
OLBB+A good 4-star in each of the last two classes means this isn't much of a position of need, they're very set hereStill picked up another 4 star. Stacking up playersB-
OTC+They have a good freshman, but almost nobody else hereAdded a high 4 star here with an ok development 3. They should have their guys moving forwardB+
PC-Mediocre, as most punter rooms seem to beHigh upside 3 star is one of the best options out thereB
QBC-They actually don't have a guy who I think is worth starting in the futureCameron looks quite good on paper. 4 star, B+ potential. He just missed the cut for Elite 11, but still a top-15 prospect and is definitely the best guy in the roomB
RBC-RB room is very average at the moment, nobody really stands out as either good now or in the futureWes is an ok 4 star guy, and definitely an upgrade over the current room. Missouri was unlucky to lose their slightly better option in a coin flip to a certain other SEC east school, but filled in quite nicely. Also got a solid receiving 3 star backB-
SSD+Very very empty rooman ok guy here. He's definitely better than what they had, but is still just barely above averageC+
TEC+They have a pretty good 4 star guy here already, but could do with looking for the next in lineHaason is a high potential 3 star, so the hope is he's ready to take on more duties 2 years from now.C
WRB-Their 5 star is a rising senior in this room, but both sophomores are really high potential 3 stars who've grown a lot so far. They definitely do need to keep adding talent thoughI'm not super high on Telvin, but their 4 star B guy is going to be a big addition for this roomB-

I'm actually surprised this was only 8th in my rankings. This was an extremely deep class with almost every position getting a high grade this cycle. The only thing really lacking is the high high end 5 star talent, but they did get 4 guy's coming in as Bs which is good. Maybe some more A potentials for their 3 stars? But that's a lofty expectation, and as it is they set themselves up to jump into a 3-way battle in the east within ~2 years or so.

Below is a breakdown position-by-position of (from L-R) their current roster, what they did on the trail, and the grade I gave them in recruiting that position.

PositionCurrent position gradeCurrent statusRecruiting statusCrooting Grade
CA-Signed a very good 4 star B B- last cycle and a 3 star, one of the first double C signees I've seen the AI doDidn't sign anyB
CBA-All 3 stars with B range potential... except the 5 star freshman A overall superstarAdded another 3 3 stars which is probably overkill, plus a high end 4 star. Even better is they all match the zone coverage schemeA-
DEC+Similar story, all 3 stars with B range potential. Theres like 10 of them as underclassmen in those 2 rooms, kinda weird tbhSigned a pair of 4 stars to immediately bump this room from above average to good.B+
DTCA few too many 2 stars for me to call this room good, but it isn't badSigned a 3 star with B+ potential, so it'll still be at least an ok room going forward stillC+
FBCHad a freshman 3 star in the roomDidn't sign anyC
FSD+Only 2 stars for underclassmen, needs a replacement ASAP to step inDidn't sign anyD
ILBCA 2 star last cycle, and an average 3 the cycle before have this room a little emptySigned a pair of B- 3 stars, so the room is a little bit better, but still decidedly averageC
KC+A sophomore 3 star is the most recent signeeSigned another 3 star to keep the kicker pipeline stocked with ok talentC+
OGC-A mix of mediocre 3 stars and ok 2 stars in this roomAdded one of the best OG prospects with Darron Axford could be a 4-year starter, and an A+ 3 star is a phenomenal development prospectA-
OLBCThey have a pair of 3 star underclassmen who have at least developed nicelyAdded a 4 star here which bumps up the talent in the room for sureB
OTC+Signed a 4 star 2 cycles ago and added pretty ok 3 stars around himSigned a high-end 4 star in Ramon Korecky, and added 2 ok developing 3 stars with him for a good classB+
PC-Only 2 stars, not impressedSigned a 4 star! Very impressive, I don't think there were that many out thereB+
QBB+They already have a 5 star in the room as a rising junior. Probably this upcoming cycle needs to find the next starter after Jordan ages outDidn't sign anyB-
RBB-A lot of their rooms look like this. A 4 star pretty good sophomore with a mix of above average 3s around himAdded another 4 star with good potential, who definitely overshadows the 3 star Cody also in the classB-
SSD+Only 2 stars for their underclassmen in the room, very weak hereAdded a 3 star who definitey lifts the room albeit not going to be a star I thinkC+
TEC+All 3 stars with varying potentials, not a weakness, but no stand-outsSnagged a 4 star here to get some star power. D+ potential is a little disappointing, but is still talentedB-
WRB-A 4 star in each of the last two classes, the room is more than adequateAnd is now stacked. Best position group in this class for sure. 3 4 star guys is a very good haul especially when 2 of them are B overalls already. Also got a B+ 3 star in case the first 3 weren't enough. The aggies are stocked at WR for sure moving forwardA-

This bordered on the A-. The rooms they did well on, they did REALLY well. The downside is there were a few position groups that fell a little bit short of the expectations from the rest of the roster. Either way this was a very good class, and really the only think lacking moving forward is the safety position which seemed to be overlooked a little. Everywhere else is going to be stacked, and it probably only suffers from being held to higher standards, it was the #2 class after all

Below is a breakdown position-by-position of (from L-R) their current roster, what they did on the trail, and the grade I gave them in recruiting that position.

PositionCurrent position gradeCurrent statusRecruiting statusCrooting Grade
CC+Has some solid 3 stars in the pipeline hereAdded a 4 star here who will hopefully step in within ~2 yearsB-
CBC-Pretty weak here, mix of below average 3 stars and 2 star guys in this roomGrabbed a pair of B overall 4 stars make this room immediately better. If they don't play as freshman, then they will certainly be the starters together the rest of their time in KnoxvilleA-
DEC6 guys on roster, all 6 varying potential 3 stars. Nothing special hereAdded Doug Dimmadome, a high potential B overall 4 star who will definitely start sooner than later. Also picked up a B+ 3 star for developmentB+
DTC+A 4 star sophomore is a good sign, even if he's surrounded by 2sAdded a B overall, high potential 4 star makes this room solid next year. Also picked up another B+ 3 star developmental guyB+
FBB+Already got a 4 star at the position in the last cycleDidn't sign anyB-
FSB+Last year picked up a B overall, B potential 4 star so this class was unlikely to produce a starterInstead, took Mike De Leon out of Texas, an A potential 3 star for development as a backupC+
ILBD+A BAD room atm. A single 3 star sophomore and then trash 2 starsA pretty good pickup, and instant star power with a pair of 4 stars and a B+ 3 star. This room is now pretty much remadeB+
KB-A 4 star sophomore kicker currently, but not so hot potentialAdded a 3 star B potential kicker to develop and be serviceable if pressed into actionC+
OGC+A single 3 star in a pool of 2s, and he's not even that great.Signed a single 4 star, who will certainly be a starter. You'd like to see another signee, but word is one of the OT's will likely kick in to be an interior guyB-
OLBC+A 3 star A potential freshman is solid, even if the rest of the room is averageSigned a 4 star all the way from hawaii, and another B+ development prospectB-
OTC+A couple 3 stars here who should be okA trio of 4 stars is a VERY good class. Especially if one kicks in to play OG. All together that's 5/5 4 stars on the O-line and this class could produce an entire starting line themselvesA
PD+Only 2 stars on rosterSigned a 4 star guy to take over immediately and will likely be a long-term starterB
QBCCedric Marsh played phenomenally last year, but there wasn't another great player that stands out when looking at the rosterBrandon. Savage. Get used to the name, you'll see it a lot. Won the Elite 11 and will almost certainly walk in as a starter his first second on campus. Tennessee is extremely lucky this guy showed up in-stateA+
RBC+Aldrick Ynoa is an A overall guy out there, but he's leaving soon, and there's only 3s behind himSigned a pair of 4 stars, including B overall, B- potential Joe Williams out of Missouri, winning a coin flip decision against Mizzou, which is great against a division rivalA-
SSB-Has a high potential freshman poised to grow under the 4 star upperclassman in this room at the momentBrandon Duffey could break that plan as the B overall signee out of Rhode Island looks quite goodA-
TEB+Signed a 4 star each of the last 2 cycles, so well positioned.Good thing they did, this was the biggest position whiff as they had a 4 star committed but messed up priority and couldn't take his commitment. OopsC+
WRB+4 stars and high potential 3's in this room. This is certainly a position of strength for the volunteersAnd added another pair of B overalls into the mix with 4 stars from floridaA-

Am I blowing smoke up my own ass? I'm definitely a star chaser and don't think C vs. B potential is that huge a deal, certainly not worth grabbing a 3 star instead of a 4 over. Either way, I think this was a great class. Could nitpick a little about signing an average FS, and missing out on the 4* TE on signing day. But aside from that, now every single position (aside from Kicker) has signed a 4-star this cycle or last (FS, FB, TE were last cycle, the other 13 positions got one this year). With a base like this, next cycle should be all 5-stars and mega potential chasing

although missing out on ILB and K is disappointing,

Ironically, I was trying to recruit both those positions and had those as top preferred. I just forgot to go back and add my scholarships to those as well as a couple C+/B potential guys
