"Day 1 is in the books, here comes Day 2," says Coach Jim Jebow. "Day 1 we put their arms through the paces, and saw guys like Brandon Savage and Tavarres Washington show why they are such highly touted prospects. Today, we're going to put these guys athletic abilities to the test, before taking them into 1 on 1 film room sessions with our coaches to prep for tomorrow's 7-on-7 drills."

Event #3 - The Combine

 

"Can't ever have a camp without making these kids run the 40 can we," Jebow laughs. "At this point, all the really good quarterbacks have to be able to extend plays and be a factor in their team's run game. It's just hard to be successful without it. We're big believers of the SPARQ score, Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. All major aspects of just how athletic a player is. These kids ran the 40, did a 20 yard shuttle, power ball throw, vertical jump."

 

"Most athletic guy in the class, easily Sheldon Yanda. He's what we call a freak. The arm is good enough, but he can do some damage with his legs. Next up, really liked what Brad Harrison was able to bring to the table. Move's fluidly and has a good bit of power to boot."

Event #4 - Film Room

 

 

"In preparation for the scrimmage, we gathered our QBs together to have 1-on-1 sessions about any questions they had on the playbooks they were given on Day 1. After running through various plays, and talking about what they liked and didn't like, we tested all these kids on their knowledge of the calls. This is crucially important at the collegiate levels. You have to know the playbook, you have to know the calls, you have to know how to set protections and run audibles."

 

"Some of these kids just had it, Cooper Williams, braniac. He's a genius. Kyle Ham also surprised the staff with his mastery of the playbook. Of course, Brandon Savage did as well. Not many kids having a showing quite like Brandon has had these past few days, really took to heart the coaching at regionals and he's come out swinging."
