Los Angeles, CA

Welcome to the Elite 11, the national quarterback camp ran by QB Coach Jim Jebow. Jebow and his staff will host 5 regional competitions around the country, testing over 1000 quarterbacks before selecting the 20 best players to go to Nashville, TN for the Elite 11 finals. There, the final Elite 11 will rise to the top, and an Elite 11 MVP will be awarded for the best of the best. In each of the regionals, the top 2 players of each region will automatically earn a bid to the finals. With that, our team started in Los Angeles for the Pacific Regional.

The California QBs were extremely competitive and impressive, but Boise State commit Sheldon Yanda stole the show. “Man he is sharp. So electric, just a true playmaker,” said Jebow. “Big armed kid, athleticism off the charts. An easy pick for the MVP of this regional. Yanda’s a kid that’s been camping with us for years and watching his development has been a pleasure. He’s gone from a twitchy kid with potential into becoming a lethal player with the ball in his hands."

“Man just fortunate to be here, the dream is to be the best in the Nation, and I’m grateful for a chance to get there,” said Yanda. “To be the best, I gotta just show up and dominate everywhere I am. Best in this city, best in this state, now best in this regional. One more stage to show it!”

Paul McCullers-Sanders shocked everyone at our camp,” Jebow said about the Tulane commit.” A Seattle area kid, McCullers-Sanders made the long trip down to SoCal and stunned the coaches. “First thing you notice about this guy is the build. 18 years old and already looks like a guy that’s been in a college weight room. Then you see him throw and wow. So accurate, excellent mechanics, found out he’s a coach’s kid and it all started making sense. He absolutely punishes the ball down the field. Showed up big on the practice field and just seems like he came out of nowhere.

“Just grateful for the chance to compete, took my shots and I thought I did well,” said McCullers-Sanders. “I’ve got a lot of confidence in my arm strength and I think it’ll take me far. Can’t wait to go to the finals and make some noise.”

Jebow grinned speaking about the final selection from the Pacific Regional. “Near the end of the day, we had a stud in Utah commit Alcides Holden just really explode onto the scene. Caught on fire at the end of the day and seemed like he never missed a pass after lunch. He didn’t do enough to overcome his shaky start in the morning to win a top-2 invite, but we saw enough to take him to the final as a coaches selection. Stout kid, great footwork, so dynamic.”

“Man, I was feeling the pressure early in the morning, but so happy with how I finished up,” said Holden. “My heart honestly sank after Sheldon and that Seattle kid got picked ahead of me. Man I hate losing to Sheldon haha, feel like we’ve been seeing each other at all the Los Angeles camps since middle school. But now that I’ve got a ticket to the finals. I just want to get out there and win the whole thing.”

Finals Invitees:

Sheldon Yanda - Pacific

Paul McCullers-Sanders - Pacific

Alcides Holden - Pacific
