Week 10 Score: Oklahoma 21 Texas Tech 10

POTG: OU RB Sugar Ray Cobb - 26 carries for 115 yards, 2 TD, 7 receptions for 105 yards 1 TD

What happened: The Red Raiders would find themselves in the lead on two occasions in the fourth quarter as they held on to a 7-0 and 10-7 lead. The team and Texas Tech fans felt confident about their team's performance and there was a belief that they might come away with their first victory of the season. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. The Sooners would score 21 points in the fourth quarter and cruise to a 21-10 victory.

The scoreboard read 0-0 for nearly three quarters until Texas Tech found the endzone with 3:12 left to play in the third quarter. The Red Raiders were led by running back Fernando Gonzales who finished with 156 yards on 43 carries and one touchdown. Quarterback Reggie Chavis continued his poor performance completing only 50% of his passes for 170 yards and one interception.

For Oklahoma, the Sooners were led by running back Sugar Ray Cobb who surpassed 100 yards rushing and receiving and added three touchdowns (all in the fourth quarter). Cobb was responsible for 105 of the 121 receiving yards accumulated by the Oklahoma passing attack.

Week 11 Preview:

Match-up: Texas Tech (0-9) at West Virginia (3-6)

With only three games remaining on the schedule, the Red Raiders are running out of opportunities to avoid a winless season. They’ll have another crack at a victory this week in a match-up against the Mountaineers of West Virginia.

The Mountaineers enter the game with a 3-6 record, but have won 3 of their last four contests. They will be looking to make it four of their last five against one of the worst teams in the country.

What to watch for (TTU): Who will start at Quarterback? Reggie Chavis was given a second chance after Jordan Madero failed to make much difference after replacing Chavis earlier in the season. The rumor on campus is that Chavis is in the coaches doghouse and is not likely to play again this year. Madero appeared to perform better than Chavis this season, but regardless who starts, there is much to be desired in the QB room in Lubbock.

What to watch for (WVU): Can Quarterback Logan Gabriel manage the game? As we have mentioned, WVU has been victorious in three of their last four games. In those wins, Gabriel has managed the game well and limited his turnovers. He is unlikely to pick a defense apart, but if he can throw for around 200 yards and not turn the ball over, WVU should be able to improve their record to 4-6 on the season.

What will happen: At this point, you have to imagine the will of the Red Raiders players has been worn down to almost nothing. They know the end of the season is approaching and all they have left to play for is their pride. The question is do they have enough pride to win? We think not.

Prediction: West Virginia 20 Texas Tech 14
