Guess who's back at it again with no 1626923526491.png.6f6a42ff091c2836ebdc4b25c32c5a0f.png

Let's start this strong with the headliner chart: Expected stars per school. This chart basically shows what classes would look like if everybody signed right now. This is just adding up the players you're in solo lead for plus 40% of the stars you're in a battle for (so if you're the only name on a 4 star, a 3 star, and battling for a 5 star you get 9 expected stars). Also included are scores from previous weeks to show team's trajectories (although will probably not show every week going forward as it is getting a bit cluttered)

Let's start with the elephants in the room (well, the Jayhawk at least). Kansas is leading on 34(!!!!) players atm. I'm not so sure what kind of scholarship wizardry @Bundy is trying to pull off here but I was pretty sure the limit is 25, meaning this number will absolutely not stay this high. I'm curious if this will be a high-water mark for the rest of the season or if anybody will ever break it.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, California for some reason has stuck with the same 3 recruits every week this season. A fine show of loyalty but uh, maybe not the best long-term strategy for the number 1 team in the country.

On to the other charts! Let's see our conference averages:

Not much change here aside from the MAC improving a bit and the Big 12 deciding they want to be good at football in future years as well.

Lastly, more evidence that more is not always better:

Number of AffinitiesNumber of teamsExpected StarsNumber of recruits all alone on
02643.6076923112.34615385
11346.4615384612.69230769
21733.364705888.176470588
3734.68.571428571

Very curious how that changes next week once affinities come into play for real.

That's all the time we have folks! Next week will be the biggest shake-up so far so tune in and venmo me some $$ because I need a drink after this

Sunbelt being the only conference dropping in expected croots is very surprising. I wonder why that occured.
