Hello, I've come back from the land of 1626391368557.png.3fb373f8e841ebb7480de1842f4cbeea.png to try again.

This time, let's take a look at how different teams are faring in this years crooting class. I've put together a chart showing how many "expected stars" a team would have if recruits signed today. This is just adding up the players you're in solo lead for plus 40% of the stars you're in a battle for (so if you're the only name on a 4 star, a 3 star, and battling for a 5 star you get 9 expected stars). Also included are points from week 1 and 2 to check out the momentum some programs have

Next, we can take a peek at how different conferences are doing.

As you can see, SEC is the best of course due to fertile recruiting grounds. Interestingly enough, the Sun Belt started off super hot in week 2 and then immediately came back down to earth this week. The Big 12 is missing Texas in the recruiting field and we are seeing some parity with G5 and P5 conferences for the most part.

Lastly, something counterintuitive is how teams with more affinities have been recruiting

Number of AffinitiesNumber of teamsExpected StarsNumber of recruits all alone on
02639.2846153811
11342.3538461511.46153846
21732.458823537.882352941
3732.942857147.857142857

It actually seems that having more affinities has NOT really been helping thus far. Possibly it's because those affinities haven't triggered yet, but apparently teams are not scared of being in battles with affinities. OR maybe those teams are all targeting a smaller pool of recruits? Hard to say, but very curious to see how that trend ends up.

Any way, that's all for this week! Come back to see who's leading next time on *Insert catchy series slogan here*
