Bud Coleman earns Player of the Game honors after a blistering 5 Touchdown performance for Tulsa's first road game of the season. With his 27/31 for 280 yard and 5 TD performance, Bud Coleman broke out for his best game of the season. His favorite target of the night was Wide Receiver Rashawn Mattison who hauled in 5 catches on 5 targets for 128 yards including a pair of 40+ yarders. Bruce Dawson was quiet for his standards on the ground with 115 yards on 29 carries, but caught a trio of receiving Touchdowns for 47 yards to keep him above 150 yards from scrimmage. Dawson also set up the first Hurricane Touchdown perfectly with an 88 yard opening kickoff return that the offense converted into a touchdown 2 plays later. Sterling Rios and Chris Muno hauled in the other 2 TDs on the night for the Hurricane.

Defensively, the defense swarmed every chance they got holding star Running Back Kavon Hoes to 86 rushing yards on 25 carries. The Secondary was even more impressive holding Army Quarterback Austin Quintanilla to 2/12 for 32 yards and 1 interception. Deonte Ladendorf hauled in the pick while the combo of John Hamilton and Steven Jenkins forced and recovered a fumble. 4 separate Tulsa defenders were credited with assisted TFLs and Brandon Ramczyk was credited with the lone Sack on the night.

Tulsa opens conference play at home against Memphis this week.
