FB Ryan Johnson led Texas State to an incredible near-upset of the Baylor Bears in Week 0. Despite their heart-wrenching loss in the final 90 seconds of the game, Ryan Johnson put Texas State on the map with 222 yards and 2 touchdowns in 43 rushing attempts. Expect to see Ryan Johnson in the conversation for an All-American team at the end of season.

ILB Peli Broxton, Coastal Carolina

Peli Broxton wreaked absolute havoc on the Liberty Flames, recording 3 tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception as the Chanticleers won 14-0. This ballhawk attitude will prove to be a huge asset to Coastal Carolina as they look to make some noise in the Sun Belt this season.
