The high school sensation, previously unknown by many, is now a topic at the dinner table for college football fans across the nation. After a viral video emerged a little over a month ago, David Ross surprised the world with a record-shattering 200-yard punt. The video, recorded by a fellow teammate of Ross, shows the punter booming a football across the field, right on top of the adjacent Tempe High School.

Following the emerging news, scouting teams from ESPN to 247sports have taken time to analyze the senior's athletic prowess. Despite having no previous starting experience Ross has already been declared a 5* recruit according to ESPN.

"This punt was like anything we've seen before. The strike, the landing, the fact the ball remains spiraling perfectly post-punt. It's everything a college coach wants in a punter," ESPN strategist Polly Ester said in a short statement after the site announced Ross's standings on the recruiting board.

David Ross has already gained numerous followers on Twitter, including high-profile college athletes such as basketball sensation Francis Doyle and Florida State quarterback Matt Howard. Ross has yet to make any statements on his social media profiles since the news broke about his five-star ranking.

Ross's high school coach has already named him the starting punter for the Tempe High School Buffaloes and is looking to see whether the punter can do more with his athletic talent. Although the punter is hesitant at field goals and kickoffs, David Ross admits he's right at home with punting small objects.

While David Ross is punting beyond football fields, many college scouts will be aiming their sites on Tempe, Arizona this fall. The punter has already gained the attention of various programs across the country: from small college town Pullman, Washington, to Tallahassee, Florida all the way to State College, Pennsylvania. One thing's for certain - David Ross will have plenty of options this fall.
