SimBBA Inaugural Season Details

Hello everyone,

We are getting closer and closer to the beginning of SimBBA! I wanted to lay out some of the details for the beginning season.

We have 32 teams, 6 of which are non-player/AI teams (I will manage these teams gameplans and recruiting). Teams are split into 4 conferences of 8 teams each.

Western ConferencePlains ConferenceCentral ConferenceEastern Conference
New MexicoAir ForceDePaul (AI)Florida Gulf Coast (AI)
OregonColoradoIowa St.Georgetown
Portland (AI)Colorado St.LouisvilleJacksonville (AI)
Saint Mary'sKansasMemphisSt. Bonaventure
San DiegoOmaha (AI)PurdueTulane
Seattle (AI)SMUTennesseeUMBC
UC IrvineSouth Dakota St.Western MichiganVCU
Washington St.Wichita St.WisconsinWest Virginia

Each team will play 8 non-conference games (4 games against one of the other conferences, 2 games against the other 2 conferences). Each team will play the teams in their conference home and away, for a total of 14 conference games. Conference tournaments will be seeded based on regular season conference standings. 16 teams will qualify for the NCAA tournament. Regular season conference champions and conference tournament champions will automatically qualify for the NCAA tournament, and the rest of the spots will be at-large bids. 8 teams not in the NCAA tournament will qualify for the NIT Tournament.

Games are planned to begin on February 24th. You can view a calendar of the season and the game schedules HERE. Each week coaches will need to submit two things: their gameplans and recruiting. Both of these will be in a google folder that will be shared with you in the next few days. These are typically due on Sunday.

Each team will have 350 base recruiting points (and 0 bonus points) for recruiting this season. Each team has a roster generated with 3 seniors, so each team has 3 scholarships available for recruiting.

If you have any questions, please post them here or in the FAQ thread. Good luck and have fun!
