Players

Will there be injuries?

• Not at this time. Injuries will potentially be introduced in future iterations.
  

Do I have to worry about playtime expectations when redshirting a player?

• No. Redshirted players will be treated as having 0 playtime expectations.
  

Gameplans

Can players play out of position?

• Yes. There are currently no requirements for what positions you need to play. You can play 5 guards or 5 centers without any penalties. However, a main feature I would like to add in the future is having gameplans that require different positions to play, so you may want to recruit a diverse set of players!
  

Is there a way to vary defense like I can vary my offense through pace and shot proportions?

• Currently no. But I like the idea of targeting one of the shot types to focus defense on and will add this in the next iteration of the engine.
  

Is there a way to designate starters?

• Currently no. I am open to ideas on how this could provide benefits to teams.
  

Recruiting

When can I offer a player a scholarship?

• Scholarships can be offered during any week (you can offer one during the first week of recruiting). You can rescind and reoffer scholarships to different players during any week.
  

If a player I have offered a scholarship to signs with another team, do I get that scholarship back?

• Yes. You will still have the amount of scholarships to offer that you did at the beginning of recruiting. You can then reoffer that scholarship to another player.
  

Will recruit statuses be available to all coaches?

• Yes. The Recruits document will be updated after each week to show what level interest each player has for all the schools that have spent points on them. It will also show what schools have an extended scholarship offer for each player. This information will be viewable by all coaches.

Can I ask some more questions here?

 

* Right now, I assume that the highest minute players are deemed 'starters' eh? Might be fun to be able to designate starters long-term, for any player-to-player benefits.

* Is there a possibility of varying defense the same way we can currently varying offense? Like: defend paint, defend jumpers, defend distance shots...

* will weekly croot status on each player be available to each participant? Or just to the team that put points on the player?
